- There is no boat between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz: the two piers are at different Interlaken stations (West and Ost).
- Lake Brienz boats do not run in winter (early December to early April); Lake Thun boats do.
- The Matterhorn is not visible from Interlaken or its lakes; it stands above Zermatt in Valais.
- The jetboat, kayak and fondue-float trips are private boats, not covered by Swiss passes.
