Chocolate fondue, on the water

A two-hour guided float from Bönigen to Interlaken with a pot of Swiss chocolate fondue, warm tea and white wine. It is the slow, cosy way onto the water, for anyone who finds a jetboat sounds like too much.

Chocolate Fondue Float

About this experience

You meet your guide at the OUTDOOR jetboat base on Am Quai in Bönigen, get a life jacket and a safety briefing, then float from Bönigen to Interlaken with a chocolate fondue from the Funky Chocolate Club Interlaken: fruit, marshmallows, pretzels and biscuits to dip, warm tea, white wine and a fleece blanket each. You step off a short walk from where you started. The whole thing takes about two hours, of which roughly 1 to 1.5 hours are on the water.

No travel pass covers it. This is the operator's own boat, not a BLS course, so the Swiss Travel Pass, the GA and the Berner Oberland Pass do not apply here. It is the same operator as the jetboat, and the pace could not be more different.

A few limits. The minimum age is 8, and under-14s need an adult with them. It is not suitable above 125 kg, and good health is required. The kitchen cannot adjust for dietary needs and there is no dairy-free option, which rules it out for some. Dress warmer than you think: the listing asks for warm shoes, gloves, a hat and thermal layers, and it is marked as likely to sell out.
