Outdoor Switzerland AG · Am Quai 5, Bönigen
The winter version of the Lake Brienz jetboat: a short, fast ride from Bönigen with 360° spins and the snowy Bernese Oberland all around. Waterproof outer layer, gloves and a beanie are part of the deal, so you stay dry.

The operator bills it as the only winter jetboat ride in Switzerland. You meet at the jetboat base at Am Quai 5 in Bönigen, in the BLS port building, with parking behind it. Plan on 35 minutes in all, of which about 20 are the ride itself: views of the mountains, a few 360° spins and some local knowledge from the captain.
In winter it is one of the few ways onto Lake Brienz. The scheduled BLS boats there stop in early December, and from then on the lake belongs to the jetboat and the kayaks. No travel pass covers it. This is the operator's own boat, not a BLS course, so the Swiss Travel Pass, the GA and the Berner Oberland Pass do not apply here.
Up to 11 guests ride at a time. The minimum height is 110 cm and the maximum weight 150 kg. You get a waterproof outer layer, waterproof gloves, a beanie, a life jacket and photos; underneath, wear proper winter clothing: ski pants, a good jacket and winter shoes. Pets are not allowed.
Check in at the jetboat base in the BLS port building in Bönigen. Parking is behind the base.
Pull on the waterproof outer layer, gloves, beanie and life jacket over your own winter clothes.
Out onto the calm winter lake for the views, the spins and the captain's stories about the region.
Return to Bönigen, hand back the gear and pick up your photos.
