Outdoor Switzerland AG · Am Quai, Bönigen
A 45 to 50 minute jetboat run from the quay at Bönigen, across turquoise Lake Brienz past Iseltwald to Giessbach Falls and back. The scheduled boats cover the same shore in a slow hour; this is the version with spins, spray and a captain who talks.

You meet at the jetboat base on Am Quai in Bönigen, at the Interlaken end of Lake Brienz. The captain gives a safety talk on the way out of the harbour, then opens the throttle: down the south shore past the village of Iseltwald to Giessbach Falls, with 360° spins and some local stories on the way, and back to the jetport. Plan on 45 to 50 minutes on the water.
No travel pass covers it. This is the operator's own boat, not a BLS course, so the Swiss Travel Pass, the GA and the Berner Oberland Pass do not apply here. Up to 11 people ride per boat. You get a life jacket and, when the spray calls for it, a splash jacket. One photo is free, ready to download about an hour after the ride. Food, drinks, tips and hotel transfers are not included.
Check the limits before you book. The minimum height is 110 cm, the maximum weight 150 kg, and the ride is not for pregnant women or anyone with back or heart problems. Handheld cameras and phones are not allowed on board; an action camera on a head strap is fine. On a windy day the lake gets choppy, and guests say that makes for a bumpy ride. In winter the same team runs a shorter winter jetboat ride.
Arrive at Jet Boat Interlaken on Am Quai in Bönigen 10 minutes before your slot. Leave bags, pets and high heels behind: none are allowed on board.
Life jacket on, splash jacket if needed. The captain runs through the safety rules as the boat leaves the harbour.
Once out on open water the speed goes up and the spins start, with stories about the region in between.
The route passes Iseltwald and runs to Giessbach Falls, where the water drops down the mountainside into Lake Brienz.
Return to Bönigen. Ask the team for ideas for the rest of your day; your free photo is ready to download about an hour later.
★★★★★Captain Kat gave us 5 or more 360 degree spins and a lot of swerves and bumpy rides around Lake Brienz. Getting splashed was worth it. It was so much fun.
★★★★★It's a lot of fun. It's something different. Very beautiful surroundings, and the guide also tells you a few things about the area. I would book it again anytime
★★★★★It was very fun, og was very windy, so a very bumpy ride, but I really liked that, so maybe dont go on a windy day if you are not ready for that. Also a very nice guide
★★★★★Kat and Benny were absolutely wonderful! We had a blast during the ride and Kat also share some interesting facts about the Lake and surrounding areas. Would highly recommend!
